The School of Music performance hall is located at the junction between the existing building and its new extension, partly occupying the space freed by the demolition of former garages and warehouses that were in poor condition. Housed within the foundations of the heritage building, the hall extends through the ground-floor slab. This design approach, inspired by the Théâtre Le Vilar project by Ouest Architecture, helps facilitate circulation throughout the building. The foyer, dressing rooms, storage areas, services, and stage are all located at street level.

    On the upper floor, shared spaces are arranged within a bridge connecting the music school to the student residences. The western portion of the hall benefits from what becomes a triple-height space. The triangulated ceiling structure allows for the subtle integration of various mechanical systems, lighting elements, and acoustic devices.
