The building consists of two volumes inspired by the dimensions of traditional longhouses. The first contains two kitchen spaces accommodating 8 to 12 participants each, a food storage area, and technical spaces. The timber structure references traditional construction materials. The presence of columns is minimized through the placement of interior walls and their integration within the work islands. Through the visual connection it provides to the fields extending across the site, generous glazing surrounding the kitchen areas strengthens the relationship between agriculture and cooking, much like “farm-to-table” restaurants.
An outdoor tasting and gathering space is arranged within the second volume. This space reuses the structure of the first in an open reinterpretation featuring a polycarbonate roof. The resulting environment is sheltered from the elements while remaining bright and connected to its surroundings.
